Awakening the Feminine Through Plant Medicine and Self Awareness
The journey to health and wholeness is infinite and beyond words. It is physical, emotional, spiritual, and eternal. To heal means to balance; to bring harmony and wholeness to our entire being. During these times, I feel many of us are here as emissaries of true knowing; merging inner wisdom and listening with a higher intelligence. It is now that we must dive in, allow ourselves the time and space to listen, release and reveal, to re-member, so that we can become who we truly know ourselves to be.
As human beings, we are innately able to feel our oneness with nature, it is simply a muscle that must be practiced. Through the merging of heart and womb, we come into deeper inner knowing, finding a deeper trust in our bodies and our intuitions. Through sitting in silence with plants, and breathing from this connected womb-heart space, we can connect with their spirit and their medicine beyond logic and study.
The human journey involves witnessing our light as well as our dark; going into the unseen places that our ancestors held sacred, looking them in the eyes, and birthing them through our bodies.
There are a multitude of definitions and diagnoses placed upon the women’s healing journey; HPV, herpes, PCOS, breast cancer, endometriosis… the list goes on. These imbalances are here to bring us back into balance. They are here to teach us of what was not healed or worked through by our Grandmothers, in other lives, and or by the collective consciousness. These labels are guideposts into deeper parts of ourselves that are asking to be heard. They are here to deepen our inner wisdom, to show us our strength, and to give us the opportunity to tread a new path for the generations forward.
In order to tread this path, the body can react in innumerable ways to get our attention. These are physical manifestations of energetic herstory that we have been carrying, whether they be from this lifetime or others. Together, we are healing a collective wound with unique personal homework that has been given different terms (PCOS, endometriosis etc.). The choices we make, our self-talk, what we were taught as young women and the society we live in all affect our relationship with our bodies, our identity, and our health. These labels are simply gifts given to us to help come into deeper wholeness, connection and home within our bodies.
::Consciousness Creates The Body::
What is your relationship with your womb? What is your relationship with your body? How does it feel to be a woman? What does your womb need right now? What is your divine purpose in this lifetime?
Somewhere deep inside many women is an apology for our very existence, a quieting, a fear of fully expressing ourselves and living through our highest potential. In today’s society, though many women on this earth are still not treated or seen as having equal standing to men, we are on the journey back to balance. It is our responsibility to take our power back, to call ourselves home, to honor our bodies, to understand the power of the womb and our infinite nature as Creatrixes on Earth. When we balance ourselves, we bring balance to the web of life.
To have a womb means to have the power of the infinite void living inside of us. As women, we carry the codes of creation in all of its forms. By nature, we are empathic, emotional, tuned into the rhythms of life and death, and intuitive. We are living in a society that is beginning to understand the necessity and purpose of this medicine. In order to harness this medicine, we must first explore and understand it within ourselves.
Through the journey of discovering our cycles, our placement in the web of life as women, the elements that are naturally dominant within us (earth, air, fire, water or ether), and deepening our ability to listen to our intuition, we become whole. When we invite plant spirits to support us in this journey, we expand and deepen our ability to heal. The plant kingdom is here to remind us who we are. They hold chemical constituents that can balance our hormones, spiritual awareness and fortitude that amplify our energetic bodies, and wisdom that aids us along the journey.
There is a truth deep within every being that burns like the mid-day sun, yearning to be felt, to be honored. We are here together as women, to learn how to fan our own flames, to support one another in the fanning of one another’s flame and to collectively ignite the universal fire that so patiently yearns to be tended.
