It seems humans have always felt the precious and simple joy that flowers bring into our lives.
For me, they offer the reminder of the spontaneous spirit present in all things.
In changing times, and the deep call to walk in the beauty way, I give thanks to the flower kingdom;
big and small,
light and dark
all equally gorgeous! xoxo
Crafternoon ideas…
In preparation for shorter days and rain, I have begun to press flowers from the local neighborhoods (being sure to leave wildflowers and receive only the flowers that are in abundance (bless the bees))
I press them between big books and let them dry anywhere from weeks to 1 – 2 months depending on their thickness.
Use non-acidic glue (modge podge works great!) to turn them into flowery life throughout the winter—using a paintbrush once they’re dried, glue them to old lampshades, make mandalas out of them onto paper, glue flowers next to your free written poetry, or glue them to glass, wood, essentially ANYTHING!
In-joy xoxo,
Jules
