To slow down, listen deeply, release illusions and strengthen one’s being is something we all intuitively feel called to do at different times within our lives. Indeed, this practice is the Rights of Passage that makes a culture strong. When we enter “isolation” we simultaneously enter into the company of all that is. When one embarks upon a journey of listening with intention; the gifts and peace that come are something we can walk with for the rest of our life.

This offering is an opportunity to connect deeply with Una de Gato (Cat’s Claw Vine), with the intention for it to provide one with what they are asking for at this time, whether it be strength, courage, healing, compassion, peace, understanding, releasing etc. The process of isolation almost always elicits a phase of emptying, of allowing all the pieces and paradigms to drop, so we can become more of who we truly are.

“Dieta” simply translates to “diet” in Spanish. The concept of “dieta” comes from the Amazon jungle, where the people there go into isolation with a plant for a multitude of reasons the two main purposes being:

1. To form a deeper relationship with that plant spirit and interact with it on all levels in order to call upon the plant to perform healing on others

2. To heal themselves on a physical, mental, or emotional level with the help of that plant

 (both realities will likely manifest during your dieta)

Cat Claw (Una de Gato) is a woody vine from South America. It is extremely anti-viral, and anti-bacterial, one of the main plants people living in the jungle turn towards in times of sickness and for protection. It has the ability to clean every organ in the body; as its jaguar spirit tracks and hunts disease and imbalance. In the western world, Una de Gato is often used to treat Lymes disease, cancers, tumors, viral infections, gastrointestinal imbalances, & arthritis.

Una de Gato is also known as the “opener of the way” as it cleans our intestinal tract and balances many gastrointestinal imbalances. Una de Gato creates strength and a solid foundation of health within the physical body. On a spiritual and energetic level, it trains us in our ability to embody the jaguar. Jaguar medicine is about courage, about knowing our deep truth and holding that truth as we walk in the world. The jaguar knows when to rest and when to strike. It is for that reason that they catch their hunt. The jaguar moves without fear, fully empowered, and fully claiming of their power. 

Una de gato has a profound effect on one’s courage, mental state of being as well as physical stamina.

  Your Una de Gato immersion will open with a ceremonial fire, to ground, weave prayer ties for your time with this jaguar medicine, cleanse your energy field, and anchor in with the guardians and protectors of the space.

All food (it is a simple diet of lentils and rice while on dieta) and your tea is brought to you each morning following a 1:1 counseling session

Wood is available on the ceremony grounds for you to pray and make fires as you feel throughout your 4 day immersion.

There is a natural spring for filling your water.

Immersions begin @ 10:30 am on the first day. We ask that you arrive at 9:30 am to get acquainted with the home that’s been carved out for you in the forest and set up camp. We will close on the final day between 3:30 & 6:30pm (depending on if the sweat lodge opens or closes the ceremony).
